I Love Memes

Question number 1: What are three of the stupidest things you've done in your life.

1. Bought a KIA vehicle. That car was nothing but trouble. I will never buy another KIA.

2. Dared Adam to spank me. No wait. That was a smart thing. Ummmm... How about trying to change lanes at the last minute when I was 16 and causing a three car accident.

3. And the very most stupidest dumbest thing I ever did was light up my first cigarette that lead to thousands and thousands more.

Question number 2: At the current moment, who has the most influence on your life?

The pup. He determines when I get up, when I get to go to bed, what time I have to be home by, etc. etc. etc.

Question number 3: If you were given a time machine that functioned, and you were allowed to only pick five people to dine with, who would you pick?

Jesus, my mother, my father, Helen Keller, Eleanor Roosevelt

Question number 4: If you had three wishes that were not supernatural, what would they be?

(1) That my children would all live nearby

(2) That Adam and I got more time to play

(3) That spanking would become a very acceptable practice in adult relationships.

Question number 5: Someone is visiting your hometown/place where you live at the moment. Name two things you regret your city not having, and two things people should avoid.

City? What city? This is smalltown USA for sure. I don't regret a thing. It's a nice, little town. If we want some city life we just have to travel a short distance. Stay out of the bars and alleys though. You never know what's living there.

Question number 6: Name one event that has changed your life.

Marrying Adam. It's a long story but life sucked before he came along. It had been filled with death and abuse. I'm thankful God sent him to me. I don't know where I'd be without him.

Question number 7: Is not a question. It's a command. Tag five other people.

Oh, Okay...if I must. I tag PK, Grace, Paul, Theresa, and you!

In Honor of VT

Yes, I joked with Tigs about my dating my last post for Monday in order to drag it out but now I've changed the date to Sunday because that was before I knew about this:

One Day Blog Silence

I will see you on Tuesday.

He's Making Threats

New purse.

Road Trip.

No new purse.

No road trip.

Are you kidding me?

That is the actual threat that Adam made.

I had no choice. I bought a new purse and here it is.

Keep scrolling.....

And scrolling.....

Like it?

Me neither.

I figured it would have Adam begging me to just go ahead and use my old one.

Sigh. It didn't quite go that way.

I didn't really buy that one but did laugh hysterically when Adam picked it up and showed it to me. Yes you can actually see a tiny bit of his arm in the picture.

Anyhow, I found another one WAY up high on display that Adam said he liked. It was almost to the ceiling which had to have been at least 20 feet in the air if not more.

I told Adam I would buy it if he could knock it down with just one jump.

He smacked my butt.

Right there.

In public.

Geeze.

I finally convinced him that we weren't going to find one that we both like.

Actually it needs to be one that I like because I'm the one who's stuck with it for the next five or more years.

Now, now. No comments on that remark. If I get 5 years out of a purse, I'm thrilled. I'm happy. I like it that way. Purses get comfortable, you know? I see no need to keep buying new ones and changing them etc. With my A.D.D. if I were to go out with a group how would I ever recognize MY purse if I kept changing to a different one?

Anyhow, I do like this new one because the straps are a braided leather cord and they are already soft. Doesn't get any better than that. It almost feels broken in already. We found it at the last minute as we headed to the front of the store. They had a display of some pretty nice ones near the registers.

Rats. I almost escaped.

So anyhow, as I sat at the dining room table last night cleaning out the old one and fixing up the new one Adam says "You have to admit, it was time for a new one."

I very calm, cool, collected, and nonchalantly said, "Oh, I know" and kept right on transferring and sorting.

He started laughing... "you mean to tell me this has all been... oh, you are so gonna get it."

Really? I'm waiting, Adam.

Bring it on, babe.

You know you want to.

Eva's Brain

I thought maybe I would give you all a peek into my A.D.D. mind.

Honestly it drives me nuts. The A.D.D. that is. I have a thought. I go to write it down and forget why I'm at the computer so then I play a game and when the thought returns to me, I head for the appropriate software. God help me though if the phone rings or something.

Anyhow, here's the kind of stuff that goes on in my mind......

Y'all are a bunch of DW's (detail whores) and I love everyone of you right down to my toes!!

I didn't realize I was leaving you hanging the other day. I've had numerous comments and emails asking me to fill you all in.

Hmmmm....

And here I thought I was leaving a little to your imagination!

You're much like the kids I teach. Just tell us. Don't make us think. LOL

Okay, okay....

Yes.

I got spanked. And everything else you can imagine with it!! It was a fantastic afternoon. And I've been meaning to blog about it but keep forgetting.

A.D.D., remember?

Anyhow....

Adam's been working a lot of hours this week. It's depressing and kinda lonely. And on top of it, he's being given some major grief by someone who volunteers in his organization. Hopefully that will end very soon.

How do you fire a volunteer anyhow?

This particular person was a very good friend at one time. That makes it harder. It's bad enough when non friend types give ya grief but when someone you thought was one of your inside circle of five good friends does it... well it makes me a bit angry and hurt. I won't tell you what PK said she's going to do to her. Let's just say it has to do with physical harm. Oh, and she said she'd bring the sugar for this person's gas tank.

Oh... sorry.

This is supposed to be a spanking blog, huh?

Okay.

Sure.

Let's talk spanking.

Adam and I own a variety of wooden spoons, belts, a crop (like ya didn't know that), a flogger, a nylon paddle. The crop is a favorite. He's been trying things out such as slippers ever since Cassie posted about her Walmart trips.

Cassie, how much did all that stuff cost anyhow? I am thinking I would really like a bath brush or a back scratcher.... for bathing... and reaching those places on my back that I can't get to unless Adam's here to scratch it for me.

Dowel rod? Noooo thanks! Yowza that would sting. What about a bungee cord though? I'm thinking that wouldn't hurt much. Am I wrong about that?

Isn't Cassie great? She's an imaginative genius!!!

No diet Pepsi. I haven't touched anything carbonated since last Friday. That's a whole week. And PK, that's ummm... you know... pop!! Not soda. Not cokes. POP! Teehee.

I suppose I should go do something productive which means I will probably end up playing some solitaire or looking up some spanking pictures. How many times can you type "spanking" into a search engine before you realize that nothing new is going to come up?

B
efore I go.

I found another fun quiz.... try it. It was fun.

<span class=

Your Score Summary

Overall, you scored as follows:

96% scored higher (more stupid),
1% scored the same, and
3% scored lower (less stupid).

You are 3% stupid. This means...

You are our next Einstein. Wow! Keep up the great thinking.

Something to Blog About

It amazes me. Actually Adam amazes me. There was a time in our life that he would have totally freaked over my having posted so much personal information for all the world to read. And honestly I think that's why I sometimes have trouble relaying details.

There's a part of me that cringes, thinking he will be upset with me so I hold back.
The funny thing is that he is not the man he was then. And then was a long time ago anyhow. So why do I struggle sometimes? It's just part of me, I guess. It's fading though. That feeling of dread I mean.

You see, it's like this... Adam has never not once criticized anything I've written. In fact, I think he likes it because he views my blog as a way of getting me to talk. I'm kind of like PK. Adam has spent his life trying to get me to open up. He sees though that for the most part writing is my outlet so he's content to read what I write here and if there's anything worth discussing, he'll bring it up and we'll talk about it.

I think too that's why we like road trips together so much. For whatever reason that I am yet to understand we communicate freely out on the open road with lots and lots of time on our hands. That wasn't the point. So what is the point? Lately Adam's line to me is "I'm going to give you something to blog about."

Sheesh.

Here I've thought all along that I need to watch what I say so I don't upset him. He never said one negative word about the letter that showed up on Tigg's blog a week or so ago. And yes, I was a bit apprehensive at first.

He used that line - I'm going to give you something to blog about - on me yesterday as he smacked my butt all day but by the time we fell into bed we were exhausted and collapsed into a pretty fast, deep sleep.

Today though he's been saying it again: "I'm going to give you something to blog about."

I'm pretty sure that's exactly his plan when he comes in from doing some yard work. Yes, it's actually quit snowing long enough here where we are able to do some outdoor kind of stuff. In fact the temp is in the upper 70's today. You southerners can stop your bragging. We're catching up to you finally.

Anyhow, I told him I'm not in the mood for something to blog about but I would be if we get the hitachi out. That thing can take me from zero to horny to the big O quicker than anything we've ever played with. I don't understand why you don't own one yet. What are you waiting for? And if you DO happen to own one, how right am I? Is that thing amazing?

So yeah... anyhow, I think I will go to our bedroom now and see how long it takes him to get there. Maybe I am in the mood for something to blog about after all.

Random One Liners

Adam's been smacking my butt all day.

I think I'm in for it tonight.

I'm trying to find a good recumbent bike for a decent price.

I think my butt is going to be feeling like the poor kitty's chin must feel.

I have to give up caffeine and carbonated beverages.

I'm supposed to drink a lot of water.

Does Crystal Light count as water?

I bought a ton of those little on the go thingies and have started drinking them.

They are okay.

I can't do plain water. Ewe.

I would think this counts.

I wonder why blog rolling isn't working again?

Did I tell you Adam's been smacking my rear all day?

Twenty eight more days of school.

I made bbq pulled pork for dinner tonight.

I'm supposed to give up all starch too.

No bread.

No rice.

No potatoes.

Geeze.

I like Bonnie's idea of the
corn hole game better than the real thing.

Don't feel bad Bonnie.

I never heard of it either.

Why would grown adults want to be playing such a game when they could be doing as Bonnie suggested.

I just took a pottie break.

Adam smacked by butt some more when I headed back to the computer.

I said "Owwww" and called him a big meanie.

He said "No, THIS would be a big meanie."

Bet you want to know what he did next.

Yep.

You know it.

He pulled my pants down.

Geeze.

Meanie.

I don't think I can survive without diet pepsi.

There's a baseball game on TV.

Adam is watching it so my butt is safe for a bit.

I'm thinking about getting up before sunrise to see the meteor shower.

Done thinking.

Bad idea.

Uh - oh.

Adam's calling.

Bye.

Oh wait.

One more thing.

A few weeks ago I got a new avatar.

No one has said a word.

It has surprised me that no one has noticed.

Or do you just not like it enough to say anything?

Purses

Last summer.

Remember? Adam and I took the road trip of our lives. It was our first trip since our honeymoon in 1981 alone without kids. It was awesome.

And remember how our nest emptied? Well that's not to be this summer. One little birdie is returning to the nest for the summer. And it's okay.

In the meantime, Adam and I are planning a road trip again. This time we'll be gone even longer. We're planning about 12 days away from home. I can't wait!! But here's the catch and I need your help....

Last summer my family drove me nuts. They are insisting that I buy a new purse. Keep in mind I am not a girly girl. I do NOT need a purse to match every outfit. One sturdy, functional purse is all I need.

But now this year Adam says he's not taking me on the trip till I buy a new purse.

Excuse me? I LOVE the one I have. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. My child says if I set foot in her house with it this summer that she is going to dump it all out and that I'll never see it again. Now I ask you, is that nice? I'm just not feeling the love here.

Anyhow, I'll leave it up to you. (The purse in the picture is NOT it.... it's similar but it's not it).

Purse

Should Eva buy a new purse?

Absolutely
No way!!
Only if she wants one
Even if she doesn't want one

Interesting

I found this at Snow's and since I don't have time to do a "real post" today I thought this might be interesting. Be gentle!!!

Memories

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

Letter Elaboration

Okay, Okay, I won't torment you with another picture.

The words I googled were "Mile High Club." Some of you did manage to figure it out. Way to go Ceeci and the rest who got it!

So anyhow... yes. That was my letter to Adam over there at Tiggr's place on Saturday. And yes, every word of it was true. Well almost every word. Tiggr
suggested we change "crop" to "leather" so it wouldn't be too easy to figure out who wrote it.

In reality, it couldn't have been Bonnie. Randy has never been reluctant to spank from what I've read. And like Nick told PK... it couldn't have been her because there was cooking going
on. I love it though that most chose my twin.

That evening happened last Wednesday. The very next day that letter poured out of me. I was going to post it here on my own blog BUT did you catch that
last part? There was really no way of telling Adam that I wanted it again JUST LIKE THAT without it being my idea. The fact that it was his idea is what made it such a phenomenal evening.

That's when I emailed Tiggr. I told her what I was working on and asked her if she'd be interested in posting it for a fantasy Friday. She said yes. I guess she's had a shortage of material lately...hint, hint, hint folks. Anyhow, she wanted to post it immediately but didn't want to cancel what she had planned. Thus the Saturday idea was born.

I will confess that I shared it with my twin before it was posted. See, she had known that we'd had a really good time on Wednesday and being the DW that she is, she'd been asking for details. Truthfully I hadn't given her any details. I just couldn't. Not in a letter to her anyhow. I emailed her and said "what if I were to ever write a FF..." I told her I was thinking about it and wanted to know if she'd want to read it ahead of time. Our friendship has grown to that point where I don't always like having her learn things with the rest of the world.

She said yes and no. Excuse me? Yes, because she likes to read my stuff as soon as I write it but no cuz she likes guessing at Tiggr's place. I wrote back and said "Okay, then I'll let you guess IF and WHEN I do write something."

A half an hour later I get this from her: "I changed my mind... send it NOW."

NOW? I had told her if.... when.... How did she know there was anything actually ready to send? Anyhow, with a brief explanation, I sent it.

Later I asked if she thought I should let Adam read it. She made a lot of good points and so I decided to print it and have him read it Friday night before Tiggr posted it on Saturday. But guess what?

We had company Friday evening. When they left, I was just getting ready to tell him when he told me he had found it. Accidentally? Probably not. LOL I was relieved. Saved me from having to explain and give it to him and then sit
there and sweat while he read it. I did produce the hard copy from my purse though so that he would know I honestly wasn't going to hide it from him forever.

He loved it and I'm glad he's read it. After we talked about it a while he said "I TOLD you I was going to give you something to write about."

Anyhow, thank you Tiggr for posting it. The pictures were AWESOME!!

Another Hint

Think really hard.

I've posted a picture of a weenie plane ....

And now this.....

Can you guess it now??

Another Round

I've been bored.

I've been Googling.

Any guesses?

I'm making this one easy.

I'll bet somebody out there knows what I googled to get this picture.

Babe,

You are the love of my life…my very best friend…my one and only true blue soul mate. How else could it be that you know exactly what I want before I speak a single word? And how is it that you know what I need often before I realize for myself?

Knowing that somehow you just know causes me to realize that I shouldn’t have been surprised when you came in from work and immediately applied your hand firmly to my wanting behind. And it shouldn’t have caught me off guard when the pain I felt transformed itself into pure pleasure as sensations radiated wildly through my entire body.

As I continued cooking what was to become supper you continued to spank. With each and every application of your hand I would catch my breath only to have it stolen once again by your promises for the hours ahead.

When you reached your hand into my pants a longing washed over me. I wanted you to pull my jeans to my knees. I wanted you to rub and pinch and stroke and squeeze and kiss what is yours. Oh, how I wanted to expose myself to you; to give you all of my vulnerabilities, all of my submission.

It wasn’t to be. Not yet.

Throughout dinner you managed to say just the right things at just the right moments which made me want you will all of my flesh… all of my mind… all of my soul. And you knew it. You knew that I was in that place where nothing stood between you and me. Nothing could stop what was to be. These moments sealed the fate of what was to come.

Later as I showered, I smiled when I heard you telling no one the plans you had for your wife – me!! You talked of squeezing and sucking and fucking. And as I listened and as the hot water from the shower trickled down my breasts I became more and more aware of the not just that, but also of the wetness between my legs.

My hand reached and rubbed so very softly the clit I knew you were soon going to spank. I hoped – at the very least – that is was soon to be. You know – don’t you – how very much I adore the feelings of submission and love that engulf me when you lightly spank me there.

And you did not disappoint. Everything I am and have soared when I went to the bedroom to wait for you. I knew you wouldn’t linger long but as I waited I couldn’t help it – my hand found its way back to aching, longing places. As I touched myself I let my mind fly, thinking how very much I wanted you to touch there, too.

I knew you wouldn’t take long. When I opened my eyes you came to my side, crop in hand. You knew. You always know. It was exactly what I wanted, needed. The temperature was rising all around as you gently spanked my clit. I closed my eyes as the ride began.

I don’t know how you manage some of the positions that you do. I felt you gently turn my head as you continued to gently spank my dripping cunt. I opened my eyes finding your extended cock before me. It was hard. Solid. I reached for it with my tongue and soon I was drawing as much of it as I could into my mouth.

I think it was then that I heard you call me “good girl.” I took you deeper in my mouth. You continued to spank my clit.

When you finally rolled me over I was ready. I was ready for whatever you wanted. I positioned myself on my knees. I loved how you spanked so slow and lightly at first. I knew. I knew it was going to be a long, hot spanking. There was nothing hurried.

As you increased the intensity of the strokes on my bottom I cried out into the pillow that I had buried my face in. I cried out for you to stop. I cried out for you to spank harder. No, I didn’t say the words. I couldn’t. I wanted you to stop. I wanted you to spank me forever. I wanted you to take me, to thrust your hard cock into my dripping cunt.

I focused on my breathing. I focused on the pain. I focused on the pleasure. I focused on your hand reaching around to caress my breasts. And I begged. I begged you to fuck me hard and fast. I was needy, longing, wanting.

How many times did you change from your hand to the crop to the flogger to … to… I can’t even remember. And I wish I had the words to describe the way I felt when you began to pump and grind your amazing, amazing cock into my pulsating pussy.

I didn’t know where to place my focus because you continued to spank me hard and never quit until we both collapsed.

How do I tell you that THAT is the best spanking you’ve ever given me? How do I tell you that the whole night was mind-blowing? How do I tell you that I want it again? There are no words. There is no way. How can a night like that be duplicated? Oh, how I wish we could do it again… just like that.

As I lay there regaining my ability to think and use the senses God gave me, you pulled me close, kissed my forehead and said “thank you.” You give me the most awesome night of my life and YOU are thanking ME? How did I get so lucky?

And the best part? I didn’t want spanked. I didn’t want sex but a long time ago, I decided I wanted to see what it was like to submit to these things when I didn’t want them. And you? You’ve never made the first move to spank me. I’ve always had to ask. I’ve always had to drop hints. And I’ve wondered if you would ever take the initiative upon yourself. And I’ve wondered what would it be like to submit when I truly wasn’t in the mood. Would I resent you? Would I hate it? Would I… could I ever submit to you simply for the sake of submitting?

Babe, it’s never been any better than that but how can I tell you I want it again – just like that – when it’s your idea, not mine? How can I tell you that without it being “my idea?”

CeeCi of Giardino del Piacere has honored me with the Thinking Blogger Award. Ceeci thinks I deserve a thinking award? Wow! To say I was honored is a bit of an understatement! Looky what she taught me and what she said about me.

Lately, visiting Theresa site has become a bit startling. We seem to have developed an uncanny sixth sense and have matching subject matter. Of course, we each have our unique manner of conveying our thoughts. Theresa's amazing 'I can do this' spirit has touched me more than she'll ever know. Her candor and optimism are contagious. Her encouraging words and positive input make receiving comments from her a pleasure. She likes to act like she's prim and proper, but with all that red hair and great sense of humor, I'm sure she gets the party started!

1. Well this is not just a mutual pat on the back, but CeeCi's Giardino del Piacere gets my first award. She is the greatest geek I know, and created my beautiful space. I can always count on her for help with Blogging and coding. Her photos make you feel like you accompanied her on her adventures. Walking down the street with CeeCi becomes an adventure. I think CeeCi's spirit and positive outlook has just rubbed off on me! You can always count on her to turn lemons into lemonaide.

2. Grace at A Day in the Life does a lot of thinking then she shares her thoughts with all of us. The quirky sense of humor she adds to her thoughtful posts keep me coming back for more. Grace typically gets us thinking about topics on domestic discipline, spanking, sex, blow jobs, and laundry.

3. New Beginnings, aka Elis or PK coined the phrase mind blogging. Her slant on the world is priceless. I hang on her every word. When I read other blogs I always check out her comment first, before reading the others. She is quick witted and sharp, but also very down to earth.

4. Eva at Nothing Random About a Spanking has proven that spankers don't suffer from empty nest syndrome, quite the opposite. Eva also has a special talent when it come to Google Image searches. Her lighthearted take on life has inspired me to think outside of my limits. I have even considered getting a crop thanks to Eva.

4. Hopefully on a temporary hiatus and not gone for good, SuzQ's My Naked Truth was my first reader. For months and months she shared her thoughts and feelings with us all over Sunday Lattes. She is a brilliant writer and blogger. To this day Sunday's Blogging, and thinking, over a rich coffee drink just go hand in hand for me.

To the folks I've chosen if you wish to continue the chain, here are the rules:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to five blogs that make you think.
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote.

Tell Me What You See

We interupt our regularly scheduled blog for the following announcement:

Just click on the picture above to go there now. Be sure to leave a comment!!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled blog . . .

I found these pictures over at
Vintage Spanking Photos and couldn't help but notice something that didn't seem quite right in them. I'm wondering, do you see it also? Is it as obvious to you as it is to me?

Now, I'm not a spanker. I'm always on the other end of the paddle so maybe there's nothing really wrong. What do you think?

Don't get me wrong, they are lovely spanking pictures as is EVERYTHING at Vintage Spanking Photos. Maybe it's the geek in me that even notices this at all. Maybe there isn't anything wrong at all. Maybe I'm just reading too much into the photos.

Tell me what you think.

PK's Been Hijacked

Hey Everyone!!! Shhhh..... It's me..... Eva.........

I had to wear a disquise cuz I don't want PK to know that I've hijacked her blog....

If she finds out I was here, I'll get the PK look.....

Did you hear? She's gone for a few days and you KNOW what that means!!!

So where is everyone!! Let's get this party started!!!!

Happy Easter!!

The Kitty Cat Bandwagon

Recently CeeCi and PK have written cat stories. As I read PK's it occurred to me that I just HAVE to tell you all about PJ.

There's not going to be a single spanking reference in this post so you're free to leave if you like but gosh, I'd love it if you stayed.

Back in the early fall of 1993 two stray cats showed up on our porch. Adam has always loved cats and decided that they needed food.

You know what happens then. You feed a cat, you own a cat. It's that simple.

For the next two months they lived on our porch. I refused to allow them in the house.

It was a cold, windy, rainy, sleety, crappy November night. We had company. Liz pitched a fit because I would not allow these cats in the house. She asked "If I take one of them home with me, will you let them in?"

Sigh.

Deal.

For two weeks my kids ping ponged back and forth between two names. One day the cat was named Phantom due to the black and white mask looking face she had. The next day they would call her Jasmine because they just liked the name.

Finally one of them said, "I know!! Let's call her PJ!"

PJ it was.

She was given the best of both names.

For the first year PJ had an attitude of "Look, I really appreciate the food and shelter but I'm really not all that interested in being touched."
She couldn't meow. She was one of the smallest full grown cats that I've ever seen.

We were quite broke back in those days. By the time we had extra money to have her fixed she had two litters of kittens. Keep in mind she came to us full grown. We have no idea how many previous litters she might have had or how old she was at the time.

She made a fantastic mommy cat to the first litter. The second litter? Now that's another story.

I don't remember all the details but the delivery went way wrong. She had them one right after another, way too fast. Cats need time to clean one up a bit before the next arrival otherwise you'll have the mess which we had. (some of this is graphic, you might want to stop reading)

Hers were all tangled up in their umbilical cords and afterbirth. As hard as we tried, we were not able to free them.

PJ did what her instinct demanded and freed them the best she could. For some of them that meant she chewed their legs off. It was gross and disgusting but most importantly it was very, very sad.

We managed to get hold of our vet. This was on a Sunday. He gave instructions to bring them in right away. Some died there. I couldn't watch when Adam drowned two of them. It had to be done.
In the meantime 3 of the 8 survived and were perfectly fine.

There was something sad about PJ though. I honestly believe she always knew there should have been more.

Meanwhile, Adam's sister's cat also had kittens about the same time. Four of them. They were adorable but there was a problem there too. His sister's cat was hit and killed by a car when the kittens where just ten days old. She called her vet.

"You'll have to put them down, they can't survive."

She called another vet.

"Well you can try to feed them with an eye dropper but you'll have to do it every two hours."
After three days of that and very, very little sleep, Adam's sister couldn't take it anymore.

She called the vet again.

She asked "My brother's cat has kittens also. Would it be possible for her to feed them?"

"No that doesn't work."

My sister in law was crying and frustrated.

Finally the vet said "you can try it but don't get your hopes up."

He gave her instructions to hide the mother cat. Then we were to take ALL the kittens from both cats and bathe them in order to make them all smell alike as best as possible. After that we were to put all the kittens in the place where the mother was keeping them and then bring in mama cat.

Amazing.

It was really amazing.

The new additions were starved and couldn't get to PJ quick enough. Meanwhile her own babies seemed to sense the urgency and let the others eat. And PJ? She looked at us like "I KNEW there were more babies in my bunch. Where the hell have you been hiding them?"

We all cried.

PJ went on and raised both litters together as one. I don't think she ever knew they weren't all hers.

And PJ? Oh, she's still with us. She's old and frail.

Ever since 2000 when our oldest comes home for the holidays she hugs PJ before she leaves because she just KNOWS this will be PJ's last year with us. It's hard telling how old she really is. We've had her for 14 years and she was full grown when she found us.

And the pup? He loves her. He loves her so much in fact that he likes to hump the heck out of her. She runs and hisses. And Adam yells things such as "Pup!!! She's OLD. Leave grandma alone."
And although she isn't quite the center of the universe (that job belongs to Ceeci's cat) she is definitely the center of our world.

Someone Needs Spanked . . .

And it ain't me this time.

I KNOW it's a holiday. And I KNEW the store would be busy but COME ON!!!

On the way there, my cell rang. It was Adam. He was just calling to say hi I love you miss you want you need you etc. Once we got past that he asked what I was doing.

"I'm on my way to Walmart."

"Oh no. It's going to be busy. Don't hurt anyone."

"Don't worry. I'm medicated."

"Oh, yeah. I forgot."

We wrapped up the conversation as I pulled into the parking lot. It honestly didn't look all that busy so I thought it might not be too bad.

Geeze, Louise.

The first person I wanted to spank was blocking the pet aisle with her cart. All I wanted was some stinkin' rawhide bones for the pup. I patiently waited three feet from her while she looked at Dog toys. TWO TIMES she looked right at me and NEVER once offered to move her cart. She was taking her half out of the middle. I ended up having to go ALL THE WAY down the next aisle and up from the other end.

As I approached this woman LOOKED AT ME AGAIN and left.

Someone needs to teach her some manners! And at that moment I would have been happy to do the job myself. I hear Walmart sells a pretty mean bathbrush.

The bones are chicken flavored. The pup loves them.

My kids want a bunny cake for Easter. Never mind that they are all in their twenties. They always had a bunny cake when they were small and have jokingly requested one this year. That's as good as a dare if you ask me.

The bunny cake requires some shoe string licorice and jelly beans which meant *GASP* the candy aisle. At Easter? Good grief.

There were buggies headed in both directions and they were bumper to bumper. I felt as though I was on an eight lane highway at rush hour. And wouldn't you know it? The licorice was on the opposite side.

I don't know about you but crossing an eight lane busy highway for a bag of licorice isn't my idea of a good time. And of course I had to stand there and wait while another customer looked over the stuff on MY SIDE of the highway. And when she moved on? The next person quickly parked their buggy right in front of the licorice. I tried to dodge in and grab it quick. Honest I did but she almost hit me. Mean, mean lady.

FINALLY I just reached in around and under her cart and was able to JUST barely reach it. All that for a whole entire bag of licorice when I only need a few tiny pieces to make whiskers out of!! Again, I'm thinking some manners need taught. Maybe I should have stopped off in the paint department for one of those stirrers that Grace speaks so highly of.

And the straw that broke the camels very sore back was when I headed down an aisle for something WAY at the other end and about the time I was half way there someone turned up the aisle from another direction. And then someone ELSE turned up the aisle and guess what? These two women parked their carts SIDE BY SIDE while they looked at each other's side of the highway.

I'm thinking "didn't they take driver's ed? don't they know that head on collisions are NOT a good thing?" I waited patiently until finally one of them moved. Of course it was the one in MY LANE so she had to go around me. As she and her middle school aged daughter passed by I heard her say "Some people are just rude. They need to go in the right direction."

She was referring to me. She was on the WRONG frickin' side and callin' ME rude?

Did you know that grocery store aisles are one way streets? Me neither. I thought if you stayed on the right side of the road - especially when traffic's heavy - that fatalities and other mishaps would be avoided. Apparently I was the rude one. NOT. I was patient with these people. Being medicated helps enormously.

It's just lucky for them that I stayed out of the bath and paint sections of the store today. Seriously.

Party Pictures!!

Hey Everyone!!

I got the pictures uploaded finally. You know - the ones I took at the party at Grace's place a couple weeks ago.

Wow!!

That was some party, huh?

Anyhow, enjoy the pictures ....

At fist, I didn't think Grace and Bossman were EVER going to leave!!!

When we first got there, I was in the kitchen getting things ready for the party. PK was SUPPOSED to be helping me, but guess where she was?

After I took a POP break I had to go look for other help because it was obvious that Elis was NOT going to get off Grace's computer. That's okay though because from what I've heard, I wouldn't want her in the kitchen anyhow.

That Tiggr!! She'll do darn near anything on a dare!! Theresa didn't think that she would really bounce ten feet in the air if she dropped from way up there. You showed her, huh Tiggs?

Cassie, You really needed to slow down. Really. The party lasted all weekend. If Tom ever catches you driving like that you'll NEVER get to go with your friends again on their weekend trips.

And can anyone tell me why, please, that MTHC was in the sink every time
I went in the bathroom?????

Ceeci showed up to help me in the kitchen but got to horsing around. All she wanted to do was go watch some movies. That girl!! Sheesh!!! After I horsed around with her for a few minutes she settled in to help.
And Carye hates having her picture taken. I snapped this just as she was lunging at the camera.

I don't know about you, but I think that Paul and David did a mighty fine job of guarding the place and keeping an eye out for Grace and Bossman.

PK was kissing Reesa all over. It had been a while since we'd all seen Reesa. We were all glad to see her but PK really worries about everyone so she was especially relieved when Reesa showed up!

That was so much fun when Bonnie showed up!! She really knows how to get a party rockin'!!

Tiggr!! What's that you're eating? I thought you wanted cheesecake!!

That Theresa... she was such a party pooper. What is it with her and high places? She spent the whole weekend up there on that pole waiting for us to leave so she could clean the place. I told her that wanting to clean was fine but she was missing the party!!

GROUP PICTURE!! Aren't we all beautiful?

Uh-oh. Paul's hungry and he doesn't look very happy! I think SOMEONE'S in trouble!

I KNEW those girls wouldn't be able to stay awake for two whole movies. Ceeci! They missed the best part!!

Grace and Bossman did come home a bit sooner than we expected so we had to hide. They NEVER saw us. They walked right under us and didn't even know we were there.

That sure was a fun party. Just be sure to not let Grace see these pictures. That girl does NOT need proof!!!
