6. Candles or incense? - Candles for sure. Incense is usually too sweet and too strong. Makes me nauseous.

8. Did you play doctor when you were little? - Nope... played school a lot though.
9. Stove top cooking or microwave? – Stovetop.
10. Would you rather your car or your house be dirty? – Car and believe me, it' is.
11. Shower or bath? - Shower in the summer. Bath in the winter.
12. Do you pee in the shower? – Um, no.
13. Mexican or Chinese food? - Very tough call.

18. What did you have for lunch today? – I'm typing this at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving day. We ate about 2:30 today... turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, beans, jello, pie. I had 3 or 4 bites of everything. Awesome meal. Awesome day.
19. When did you last fall down? – I'm not sure why but I took a few falls when I first lost my weight. That hasn't happened recently though.

29. Would you rather have a root canal or minor surgery? – Definitely surgery. Been there, done that enough to know it's not biggie. A root canal hower would scare me to death. Hate mouth pain.

Checking In
What's new here? Let's see......
It's snowing.
Sigh.
That's the bad news. The good news is that I will be a grandma in about 9 weeks. I can't wait!!! All is well. Mama is getting BIG and gets kinda pissy when people tell her that. They - of course - mean no harm.
"You're getting big" is the same as telling a child the same. It's a GOOD, normal thing.
Grandparenthood is the best experience I've ever had and baby C. isn't even here yet. Those around me in my real world are probably dreading the day.
Yes, I will talk about her nonstop.
Yes, I will carry a ton of pictures in my wallet and expect the world to stop and oooh and aaaah over them.
She will - after all - be absolutely perfect.
Did you hear about the priest who told his parishioners to not take communion if they voted for Obama? Seriously. Read this. Do you believe it? I'm pretty certain he could have a nasty lawsuit on his hands for that one.
And how about the well known Texas preacher who is challenging his flock ... his MARRIED flock to seven straight days of sex? Again, I'm serious. Take a look.
And I've been to that church. Only once, but still. I'm not so sure it's a good idea to push it like he's doing. I mean he can't possibly know the circumstances of all those he's pushing. There are a lot of what if's, I'm sure. I'm thinking this could do more harm than good in some situations.
I know - and I'm speaking only for myself - that THAT kind of pressure right now could cause me a lot of stress and anxiety. It would be pressure that would only turn me off. I mean really, right now I just need time, patience, and kindness from Adam.
See, it's like this... I'm feeling rather disconnected from him right now. It's okay. He feels it too and we've at least started to discuss it some. In my opinion, that's a step in the right direction. I certainly don't want sexual pressure of any kind right now. Until I feel mentally connected to him there's no way I can connect physically.
Why would a preacher put that kind of pressure on his people?
My weight is still good. I've gained a few pounds since school started but I'm being careful and watching it. Life's good as a skinny person with a flat stomach. I never dreamed I'd have the stomach of a teenager. I didn't even have one when I was one.. a teen that is. Honestly, forfeiting my belly button was a small price to pay.
You knew that, right?
I lost my belly button in surgery back in May. I'm pretty sure I told you, yes?
Offspring number 3 rarely calls home. She's 8 hours away. I do hear from her though if she needs a recipe. LOL
Offspring number 1 is doing fantastic at her new job and I love having her just a few hours away. We get to see a lot more of her these days.
And number two, of course, is getting bigger by the day. It feels like the baby will never get here but honestly I know that we'll barely have time to take a breath and we'll be dancing at her wedding so I'm trying to just savor the moment... I wish kids didn't have to grow up.
At the same time, I'm actually glad that they do.
Thanksgiving is just around the bend. I'll be cooking. God a new pie recipe that's fantastic. Actually, two new recipes. One is grandma ople's apple pie and the other is maple walnut pumpkin. Both are fantastic and can be found at allrecipes.com. If you make the apple one, make sure you add a tsp. of Cinnamon to the recipe. Maybe it's just me but I can't do apple pie without some Cinnamon in it. It's an awesome recipe though so if you're looking for a GREAT apple pie, this might be the one.
I'm sorry I haven't responded to my comments on my LOL post. I read each and everyone but have been downright lazy about responding to them. I know. I'm being rude and inconsiderate. I'm sorry. Honest, I am... but will I answer them? Probably not. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate you for commenting though!!!!
We put a bird feeder up a week ago. We have one little birdie that comes every day. Anyone know how to attract more? I'm sure they will find it eventually but I want them NOW.
I'm looking forward to the holidays... especially new year's. And thanksgiving. I think I could live without the commercialism of Christmas though.

Third Annual LOL Day
Okay. I admit it. This hasn't had the appearance of a spanko blog for quite some time.
But still.... I'm one of 'em. Honest, I am.
And one day this blog will return to what it once was. The spirit will move me. I just know it. In the meantime, I see you.

Just Stuff
Hey y'all!!!
PK pointed out that I had not yet updated you on my (future) grandchild.
Remember the kidney issue? The latest ultrasound on October 24th is showing that things are fine. That was a relief and now we have less than 3 months to go till we have her here with us. I'm not anxious. Nope. Not me. Not one bit.
I don't begin to know how much money I've already spent on her. I'm not keeping track. The latest purchase I made was a little birth to 3 month cheer leading dress of her daddy's favorite team. I bought the car seat, the crib bedding, countess pj's and outfits... odds and ends such as lotion, etc... Oh and I got her the softest, cuddliest blanky even made. It looks like pink poodle hair but is 1000 times more soft.
Tonight's the big who-ha dress up deal Adam is dragging me too. Actually he had do drag me last year. This year? I'm a tad more willing. My dress is awesome. I got my nails done yesterday. Got my hair and makeup done this morning. The only thing left to do is to throw on the dress and leave. I'm gonna be looking pretty hot for an old lady.
Funny weight loss story. I have a dear old friend who I have not see for a couple years. Let's call her Jan. We had lost touch till recently when I found out her son had returned home from Walmart recently and said "Mom, it's the weirdest thing... I saw Adam at the store but it wasn't Eva with him. What was weird was that it looked like it must have been her younger sister."
Gotta love it. He was sure it wasn't me. Know how he knew? He told his mom that the woman with Adam was much more thin and a lot taller.

Why is it we call people "tall and thin" or "short and fat" but we never refer to someone as short and thin or tall and fat??
So are we all sick of the election?
I am part of a christian community who assumes we all are republicans.
On the other hand I'm part of a working community who assumes we all are democrats.
I refuse to discuss it. When pinned against the wall though, I will look at the other party and say something like this: "I just have one question... WHO would Archie Bunker vote for in this election?"
That sparks quite the conversation and takes the focus off my views.
Has the whole world gone spanko? Yesterday I had yet another one threaten to "beat me."
The pup is two today. Hard to believe. He grew up so fast.
Time to dig out the jewelry for tonight.
