Ticker Talk and Neighborhood Spankos

I admit, I might have jumped the gun with the ticker update last Sunday. I honestly have had NO times where my weight has gone down and not stayed down however that has changed. On Monday it read back up to 205 but there's good news. It has gone down quickly this week. I'm typing this on Friday evening. This morning I weighed in at 200.5. The scales are teasing me. I'm hoping that by the time I post this, I can post one hundred and anything but I know that if it doesn't happen in the morning, it will for sure by next week.

Saturday update: I got on the scales this morning hoping for that one hundred and anything reading. I would be thrilled to see 199.999999 but instead I got 200.0 which okay, it's down a half pound from yesterday and I'm down SIX AND A HALF POUNDS from last Saturday. And I know I'll be below 200 any minute now so honest, I'm thrilled.

Now about these neighborhood spankos.... Last night Adam walked the pup alone. Usually we both go at night. I walk him in the morning and when I get home from work. Last night we ate a late supper and it didn't settle quite right so I stayed behind since I wasn't feeling great.

Adam came back from the walk laughing. Apparently as he came up to a corner house a block away, the wife was on the front porch bent over tending to something with her small child. The husband walked out onto the porch, cracked her a good hard one on the behind. He then turned and walked back into the house. Neither one knew Adam was there.

I asked Adam what the wife's response was and he said she really didn't show any which told him that it was probably a frequent happening and that she probably liked it.

So hmmmmm... could we have spankos that close by?

I think so.

Maybe I'll bake a cake and drop by and introduce myself this afternoon.

Some Cell Phone Pics

Cell phones do come in handy now and then.....check out these pictures I took today just for this blog.

I was thinking earlier this evening....I've finally got my life back!!! It's amazing what losing 90 pounds can do for the energy level. See? Here's the track I've been walking on again!

And check this out.... Tonight, while roaming in Walmart, I saw the following.... and thought "yeah, right.... SURE it's ouchless."

What's my point? Really, I have none other than to brag a bit about having energy... to walk the track... to roam around walmart and notice stupid things...

So honest... there's no point to this post at all so why don't you leave a comment about those brushes up there. You don't believe it either, do you? I think this is a mighty fine example of false advertising.

Ticker Update

We interrupt this blog in order to bring you a ticker update.

Yesterday - Saturday - when I got on the scales, I was right where I was on Monday: 206.5. Then last night ... okay wait. Yes, I get on the scales at morning and at night. It's okay. I'm not discouraged when there's not a loss because I know that I am losing so please no lectures about staying off the scales. It won't happen and honestly no damage is done. So anyhow, I got on the scales last night and was a bit surprised to see them reading 205.5. See, I always go UP at night and then down in the morning. I moved the scales a bit and weighed again. Sometimes, the reading will be different if I move them. Not this time. No matter where I put them, they read 205.5. That excited me because I knew that they would show me an even bigger loss by morning. So I got on them this morning and whoooo hoooo.... 202. And that is just too good of an update to not post it NOW. Oh, and I slid the scales around 3 or 10 times. Still, 202.

That's how this whole surgery thing goes. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Bam!! 3 or 4 pounds over night. I'll take it!!!

Okay. Carry on. Keep reading. I've posted three times in the past 24 hours.

Tonight?

I've been thinking.

I don't think it's all me.

For a while I've thought it was my weight, the surgery, and all that goes with both.

Call me PK if you want. I joined the gym. Actually WE REjoined the gym. We had a membership for quite sometime but when the weight got to be too much and was causing more pain than I could handle, we canceled it. Now that I'm pain free and losing weight, it's nice to go back there. Anyhow, as I walked there this morning I thought about last night. Adam had been making threats and promises but when we went to bed.... nothing. Actually he mentioned it and I said "how about tomorrow?"

He seemed relieved.

We had to go out of town this afternoon. The drive gave us a chance to discuss it. We both want back what we once had. It's just not happening. Again, he's made threats and promises for tonight after the game. We'll see but I'm not holding my breath.

And PK?? She's such a good friend to have around.... read this email I got from her today....

And just one more thing from your own personal Ann Landers. Meet the guy half way. I mean you were not exactly in the mood to leap out of bed this morning and go for a cold walk. But you did it because the pup wanted and needed you to. And because you love the dog you probably did it only slightly grumbling. I am guessing that you love Adam as much or more than the pup. And I can tell you making love in a nice warm bed with a nice hot bottom is better than a cold walk and anticipating scooping poop! Now Adam should not get less from you just because he is enough of a gentleman not to pee on the carpet if you say no!

Gee aren't you glad you have me around for such sound advice??

Isn't she great? I'm so glad to have her around because she makes more sense than anyone I've ever known.

So anyhow... the bottom line is that life's just been nuts ever since we got the pup. He seems to be like having a small child in the house. As much as we love him, he does cramp our style somewhat. So anyhow... tonight had better be the night. If it's not, it's not my fault.

Another Stolen Meme

Yup. I stole it right from Cassie's Space and she stole it from Theresa....

Just a Ramble

My twin is right. The weekend was fantastic. Life in general is much lighter. If you're sick and tired of hearing about my weight loss, that's okay. I don't mind if you go somewhere else and skip over this post.

If you, however, feel the need to lose some weight, are interested in the surgery I had, or just interested in hearing more then stick around.

Yes, indeed. Life is lighter. I find myself wanting to do things just because I can!! And do you remember the post when I was so hurt by the waitress who made the comment that I would not fit in the booth at the pancake place? HA!! Let me tell you what.... IN HER FACE.

PK can vouch for me here... I fit in the freakin' stinkin' tiny booth at Burger King now.

Okay, honestly... It's not about the weight loss. It's not about how I look compared to how I did look. It's not even about fitting into a restaurant booth because in reality, I can't eat in those places anymore so where's the victory, really?

It's about being pain free. It's about being able to hike up a mountain with my best female friend in the world. It's about going down into somewhat of a gully knowing it was okay, that you'd be able to get out of there with no problem. And all of this has happened in such a short amount of time. In just four months I've lost 85 or so pounds - 40 were presurgery while the rest were since. And yes, I still have about 50-55 to go. I just keep feeling better and better. I don't want to go back in time. I don't want to ever weight 292 pounds again.

Am I glad I had the surgery? MOST of the time, yes. Sure it has it's moments when I feel sick from something I ate or feel frustrated because I just can't eat much but NOTHING tastes as good as what I feel these days. I wish I could show you all the pictures that PK is talking about... the pain is honestly gone from my face.... even I can see the difference.

Anyhow, I'm just rambling. What I need to do is go walk the pup before Adam gets home here in a bit... and btw, I'm almost positive that PK's dog learned that spanking thing from her and Nick but I don't care. The pup behaved himself knowing what might be in store if he acted up!!
