No Time Like the Present
Everything in Blue is clickable :)
You know I like to get on here and ramble about stupid things. I like to tease other bloggers, especially my twin. I like to whine about medical problems. Actually it's more venting than it is whining. I'm a bit apprehensive about my upcoming surgery and blogging is a great outlet for that. And occasionally I might even tell you all about a spanking I got from Adam. After all this is supposed to be a spanking blog, is it not?Adam and I have been spanking me for long enough now that I'm ashamed to admit that I have forgotten what it feels like to be longing for it but so frustrated by not getting it. It started with thinking I was the only weird one on the planet so I kept my weirdness to myself. Then finally I worked up the courage to tell Adam. He pretty much blew it off as something I thought sounded good in fantasy but he knew it wasn't what I REALLY wanted.
Wrong.
A few years later I was cruising around the Internet and he found my trail.
That's when he realized I wasn't just playing. We began. And from there I found blogging and life is wonderful. Like I said, we're so into it now that it's hard to believe there was ever a time when it was frustrating.
Did you see C's comment on my twin's site today? Let me quote it here:
I really enjoy your blog. I reread ur first entries after coming out to your spouse. I so wish my husband had been as interested. I came out to him over 3 years ago and other than a few swats during sex nothing. I have tried to get him to read blogs, sent emails , talked at length, he just doesn't get it. At this point I am just disappointed. I have to find a way now to get past my fantasy and longing and try to be happy with what I do have. He's beginning to get frustrated over my lack of interest in sex. I just needed to say these words to someone. I have lurked for years but now I am done, I need to break away it only maked me want what he is unable to provide. I will miss all of you that I feel like are my friends I come and visit every day. Happy Life everyone!!!! CThat breaks my heart because it made me remember. And now I wonder, how many others are reading these blogs and feel as though they are on the outside looking in. If that just happens to be you... and you've tried everything in your power... or at least you THINK you've tried everything in your power, don't give up.
I honestly believe men think we are joking at first. Maybe they are afraid we're trying to trap them. After all, any of us who love this lifestyle could scream "ABUSE" and the courts in this country would be on our side. So it takes trust. Lots of trust. Not for us spankees. I mean for our spankers. They are laying it all on the line. Think about it. Adam is trusting me 110%. If I wanted to, I could cry "abuse" and it would be all over. Our marriage. His career. Everything. How massive must his trust be to know that yes, this is the lifestyle I want.
Did he know that in the beginning? No. He laughed. He said he didn't want to hurt me like that. Sigh. It took a long time to open up about it again. I wish I had shoved this blog post under his nose and said "Look you knucklehead, I MEAN it."
See, now that he's into it... now that he knows I mean it... now that he knows it's not abuse.... now that he understands... and sees what it does for me (it makes me less bitchy) he's all for it. So come on, make this the day that you print out that post and hand it to your other half and say "read this... I mean it." Or at least leave it lay where he'll find it and read it... like in the bathroom or something.
I'm saddened by C. I feel so for her because I have been there. I gave up... a couple times. I can look back now though and see that when I gave up, he just figured he was right. In reality, I should have been MORE clear than ever with what I wanted. And this blog post sure would have helped.
Let it help you.
Print it. Really, what do you have to lose at this point?
What do you have to gain?
All Adam needed was to know I really meant it. That's all. If only I had told him we wouldn't have wasted so many years. But you? You've got me and a whole universe of bloggers saying "tell him" and if he doesn't get it tell him again and again until he does.
Yes. It's awkward at first. Very much so. We quickly got past that and now it's natural as anything else between us.
So go. Go now. Read this..... Print this post and give it to him.

A Day at Tybee Island
Adam wrote this in the sand. No one has ever done that for me before. I'm not a romantic by nature but this was very special to me.
This was a beautiful sight. If I was 20 years younger and 100 pounds lighter I might have climbed to the top. As it was I was happy to just stand and look up at it.

Belated Birthday Spanking
Another year has come and gone. Forty-four years. Sheesh. I was born shortly before Kennedy was shot. 1963. They say it was a good year other than that. I wouldn't know. I don't remember it. Birthdays used to depress me then my grandmother's words began to make sense. She always said "having another birthday beats the alternative."
Yes, I suppose that it does.
So anyhow, Adam worked on my birthday. When he got home we all went out to eat. No cake though. That all has been eliminated completely from my diet. It's a pre-surgery thing.
It was a nice evening but there was no time to play. Trust me, it's not that we didn't want to. There are factors to consider.
For one thing, our youngest is living here so we have to make time when she's away. Bigger than that though are all the issues I've had the last two month. A two month long period is not exactly conducive to sexual behavior. Yes the D&C took care of that. That was on July 2nd and we were told "NO SEX for two weeks." Geeze. Do you know how long it had been? Okay so there was ONE time on vacation. Once. Big effin deal. So here we are. Sex starved. Spanking deprived. Kid in the house. And a doctor's order. Did you ever reach that point where you just can't take it anymore? The bleeding stopped completely a week ago. I feel great. Ten days. Two weeks. How much different are they really in the big scheme of things?
So what I'm getting at is that Adam did something yesterday he doesn't do very often. He came home for lunch. How cool is that? And poor PK. She kept trying to drag the details out of me but it was just too much fun to string her along. Bless her heart.
We ate lunch first. I made an eggplant Parmesan with some zucchini thrown in. And some chicken. It was okay. Not my best. Adam was hungry enough that he ate it with no complaints. What am I saying? Adam never complains about food. He's a real sport there. He's put up with twenty six years of my kitchen experiments and never not once has criticized anything I've made.
So anyhow, after lunch we got right down to business. Oh, btw, the bedroom is done. We're just waiting on furniture. All that is in there at the moment is our bed and TV which is sitting on an old trunk that will soon be moved out. The feel of that room is down right romantic and will be even more so once the furniture is in there.
The most difficult part of the whole ordeal is that all the things from our room are packed in boxes at the moment. Finding things is tricky. Adam did manage to find a few things though. He found the new paddle that has the soft furry side to it and he also found my hitachi. **WEG** Gosh I LOVE the hitachi. He could have spanked me all day with the furry side. It has no sting what so ever. Just a nice soft thuddy feel to it. Nice. Very nice. The other side? Adam calls that the business side. That's the side he used for my day late birthday spanking. And yes, Bonnie. I got one to grow on - and then some!!
Adam went on a dig through the boxes in the other room looking for some lube. Lord knows we own enough of it but since it is all kept together it was hard to find. When I realized what he was looking for I yelled to the next room "forget it... we really don't need it." And we didn't. Not at all.
The furniture store delivered our new mattress a while back. It's one of those big thick comfy ones. Little did we know that it would be the perfect height for Adam to be able to stand while we are fooling around. There's something about that which he likes. I'm not sure what... but it works well now.
The spanking was good. The sex was great. I'll be glad though when the furniture gets here and we get all moved back into our room so that we can readily find things. I know PK is dying for my version of the back scratcher and that lovely hairbrush she gave Adam. Soon, PK. I promise. In the meantime, gosh it was nice to be back in the saddle - so to speak - even if only for an afternoon.

The Truth
I want to thank you all for making my birthday extra fun. I found comments and birthday posts all over blogland. I think I saw them all but if you posted a wish for me and I didn't leave a comment that means I haven't seen it but I would LOVE to so please let me know!!
I've been questioned all over the place as to my true age. The thirty nine thing was fun yesterday but of course I was lying so here's a few hints as to my real honest to goodness age.
